Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, following the start of a successful career in Sales for an international organisation, I moved to the United Kingdom in 2002 and continued with my successful career until 2009.
After applying the law of attraction and working on my self-development and reading Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway® changed my life, for 18 months I focused on a vision of traveling the world and that is exactly what happened. I decided to explore my journey. I ended up delivering technology workshops and coaching on a cruise liner and then worked in the super yacht industry and had the best time of my life and travel did I!
Upon my return, I loved training and coaching and decided to retrain.
I then moved into the further education sector and qualified as a trainer, I was able to draw on my training and experience and apply this to the recruitment sector. I now work in Higher Education as a Senior Advisor.
I believe “if opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”
I coach in many lifestyle-related subjects and specialise in self-development and transition because I have had extensive experience in this area, including women’s health, stress and anxiety management, and nutrition.
15 years of corporate working life has given me the ability to ask awkward questions and to understand the deep meaning of change management.
During this journey, I experienced a painful long divorce, burnout, and a chance to stop.
I had three weeks flat on my back, not able to move much in pain, where I had a lot of time to think about what was important to me and was missing from my life. More importantly, what was I going to do and how was I going to do it.
As part of my own personal development journey, I have experienced the benefits of coaching and I finally understood myself and finally had the tools and support to manage my life.
Training a Holistc Life Coach and being so passionate about Personal Development has allowed me to combine my personal, and professional experience with a wide variety of coaching skills and techniques, which allows me to adapt to what works for my clients.
Due to my deep interest in holistic wellness, and the mind-body connection, I decided to study alongside my busy career. I hold an ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage.
Although I am not actively practicing as a massage therapist, my training included Anatomy and Physiology which involves studying the structures associated with the human body, the mind being one and often thought of as a complicated machine!
I also hold my Level II in Usui Reiki energy healing It can be especially helpful for those who may be feeling disconnected, isolated, or overwhelmed. Reiki can help to bring about a sense of peace and centeredness, helping you feel better able to cope with challenges.
I have always been interested in positive psychology, and how people respond to change. After gaining my Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
and working with adults experiencing anxiety.
Since starting my career in the education sector I have always been in an advisory role and hold Level 3 and working my way towards Level 4 Diploma in Information, Advice and Guidance which is a National Policy Framework to promote the benefits of learning, helps individuals to address and overcome barriers to learning, and support them in making realistic and well-informed choices”
My goal is to complete the
BA/BSc (Honours) Open degree allows you to bring together different areas of study as multidisciplinary. It's a degree with a difference, which I started in 2018 and due to very sad personal circumstances of losing my only brother by suicide and then my mother 3 months later.
I had to stop and pause so I could take time to heal. The reason I am sharing this is I am okay to share this and feel it is part of who I am and my life experiences and feel this helps me be the best the Holistic Life Coach to support you.
Again, using the power of visualisation and power of intention with vision boards I attracted the partner of my dreams in 2018 and I have never been so happy, he proposed in 2022 and we are getting married in August 2024. We are in June 2023 and all that needs doing is the cake, choosing the table décor and food tasting and I have done this ALL myself, if you need help getting organised or executing a project, I have first-hand experience.
Ready to explore and see if we are a good match ?
